Why should I consider beauty enhancement or dentistry abroad?
Firstly, because the level of medical and dental expertise now available in Poland, and other European countries, is at least on a par with that available in the UK, and often superior. Secondly, the cost of treatment is significantly lower than in the UK, usually between a quarter and a half of the cost here. Thirdly, the explosion of low cost airlines in the EU means that finding suitable, and reasonably priced, flights from your local airport has never been easier.
Do lower prices mean any compromise in standards?
The price of medical treatment in Poland is lower simply because the cost of living is lower. Wages and real estate prices are around a quarter of those in the UK, and these savings are reflected in the cost of beauty enhancement and dentistry. There is no compromise in standards.
What sort of standards can I expect?
All surgeons and dentists are qualified to official EU standards, and have many years experience as specialists in their field. Your personal advisor will be able to let you know who will be carrying out your treatment, prior to your departure, along with details of their qualifications, and experience. The equipment and technology is the most up to date available, and would be the envy of many practitioners here in the UK. The clinics, themselves, are fitted and furnished to a very high, often luxurious, standard, on a par with the top end of the private health care sector in the UK.
What about language and communication?
The vast majority of our surgeons and dentists speak fluent English. Those who are not able to converse adequately in English will always be accompanied by an English speaking assistant, who will act as interpreter. You will always be able to ask any questions you like, with no fear of any misunderstanding.
Why should I book through New You Abroad?
There are many reasons to book with us, so please accept our apologies if this answer is a little longer than some of the others. We offer a unique combination of travel expertise, backed by the UK recognised benchmark of ABTA and ATOL bonding, along with a dedicated team of specialist advisors who have either personal experience of beauty enhancement treatment, or a medical career background. This means that we are in a position to seamlessly coordinate all aspects of your trip, to meet your precise, and unique expectations. All the clinics have been personally inspected, and approved, by a Company Director, and most have also been visited by our specialist advisors. We never contract clinics, without a prior inspection visit, and a meeting with the head surgeon, or dentist. You will never pay more for your treatment by booking through New You Abroad. All the clinics which we feature have a website, which we encourage you to visit, and where you will find that the prices quoted are exactly the same as booking through us. Our service and expertise comes at no extra cost to you. We are a UK based Limited company, run by a UK based Board of Directors, with many years experience in the travel industry. We do, however, have a multi skilled team of staff, many of whom speak a variety of foreign languages, and are, therefore, well equipped to handle all the overseas arrangements on your behalf. However, throughout the entire booking procedure, you will have phone and email access to your own dedicated personal advisor, who will be a native English speaker, will understand the need for discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity, and, in all probability, will have had personal experience of the sort of treatment that you are contemplating.
How long will I need to be away for, and will I need more than one trip?Most beauty enhancement procedures require a stay of between five and fourteen days, including convalescence, but usually only one visit is required. Major dental work, especially implants, usually means more than one trip, often with a gap of about six months between visits. Some cosmetic dental work, however, can be done in a day. Your personal advisor will always be able to give you a more precise timescale, based on your personal circumstances.
Can I combine different treatments in one extended visit?
In many cases, this is a feasible, and cost effective, solution for people considering more than one treatment. Your personal advisor, in consultation with our clinics overseas, is best placed to advise you. Generally, it will involve a slightly extended stay, and due consideration needs to be given to convalescence times between treatments.
Can I take a friend, or relative, with me?New You Abroad are happy to tailor make your trip to include as many other people as you wish, whether they are having treatment or not. Their arrangements will benefit from the same level of service and professionalism as yours. We can arrange most ancillary services such as insurance, car hire, excursions, airport transfers, onward travel etc, to offer a truly bespoke service.
What sort of people go abroad for medical tourism?
Our clinics deal with people from eighteen to seventy, and it is fair to say that the majority of beauty enhancement customers are female, though the men form an increasingly large percentage every year. In terms of dental treatment, there is an equal split between males and females.
How do I pay, and when do I need to pay?
Flights, transfers, hotels, insurance and other ancillary services are paid directly to New You Abroad, at the time of booking. If booked well in advance, a booking may sometimes be secured on payment of a deposit. All travel arrangements are ABTA protected. The cost of the medical or dental treatment will always be paid directly to the clinic, in full, and on the day that treatment commences. Cleared funds will be required. New You Abroad, and its partners overseas, are happy to accept most major debit and credit cards. Please note that New You Abroad will surcharge 2% for credit card transactions. Debit card transactions are free of surcharge.
Will I be given an exact quote at time of booking?
Wherever possible, you will know the exact price of the treatment booked, prior to departure. Sometimes, this is not feasible, as it will depend on the outcome of the pre operative consultation, which can only take place at the clinic overseas. In this case, you will be given a minimum and maximum price range for the treatment in question.
Will I be expected to provide any documentation prior to the trip?
Your personal advisor will let you know what is required in this regard. Any, or all, or none of the following may be requested: - Medical records, X rays, photographs, height, weight, age, lifestyle details etc. The more up to date the information provided, the easier it will be for us to provide an accurate, and binding, quote, prior to departure.
Do you have client testimonials?All our clinics have a proven track record in their field, and many satisfied customers, so we can always provide client testimonials , should you request them. It is sometimes even possible for you to contact previous patients directly, either by phone or email, should they be amenable.
What if I am not happy with the results of the treatment?It is incumbent upon the clinic, and surgeon responsible, to carry out treatment to the highest possible standards, and to ensure that any complaints are dealt with to the ultimate satisfaction of the customer. Clearly, New You Abroad would not work with any partner who was not able to resolve quality issues quickly and professionally. In the extremely unlikely event, that you are not satisfied with any aspect of your treatment, New You Abroad will always liaise with the supplier, on your behalf, though it should be noted that your contract is directly with the clinic, not New You Abroad.
What if anything goes wrong with any other part of the travel arrangements?
New You Abroad are a fully ABTA and ATOL bonded travel company, so you have exactly the same protection as you would if you booked with any other, retail, telesales, or internet based agency. In practice, this means that you can be sure that your money is safe, in the event of the financial failure of any third party supplier. Many of our competitors are basic "work from home" type set ups, with no financial protection whatsoever. Proceed with caution!!
Are there any negative factors to consider?
Beauty enhancement and cosmetic dentistry is not for everyone. The only area of complaint tends to be from customers with unrealistic expectations. Our experience indicates that beauty and dental enhancement is best suited to those people who are basically happy with their life, and the way they are, but would just like to make that one little change. The results can be instantly noticeable, or subtly hidden, but the happy, relaxed outlook on life and self confidence it brings are always in evidence.
